Wise
men followed the star they could see because they had first believed in the
promise that their eyes had not yet seen. Faith always moves us in the
direction of God’s promises, and with faith, believing comes before seeing.
When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy (Matthew 2:10).
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).
