God has Promised: God’s Victory
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow
Yours, O Lord, is the
greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all
that is in the heavens and the earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,
and Yours it is to be exalted as Head over all (1 Chronicles 29:11 AMP).
For You are my hiding place;
You protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory (Psalm 32:7
NLT).
How the king rejoices in Your
strength, O LORD! He shouts with joy because You give him victory. For You have
given him his heart’s desire; You have withheld nothing he requested. You
welcomed him back with success and prosperity. You placed a crown of finest
gold on his head. He asked You to preserve his life, and You granted his
request. The days of his life stretch on forever (Psalm 21:1-4 NLT).
The horse is prepared for the
day of battle, but deliverance and
victory are of the Lord (Proverbs 21:31 AMP).
You are my King, O God;
Command victories for Jacob. Through You we will push down our enemies; Through
Your name we will trample those who rise up against us. For I will not trust in
my bow, Nor shall my sword save me. But You have saved us from our enemies
(Psalm 44:4-7 NKJV).
As for me, I will call upon
God, and the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon will I utter my
complaint and moan and sigh, and He will hear my voice. He has redeemed my life
in peace from the battle that was against me [so that none came near me], for
they were many who strove with me (Psalm 55:16-18 AMP).
Then all this assembly shall
know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’S, and He will give you into
our hands (1 Samuel 17:47 NKJV).
But no weapon that is formed
against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in
judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness,
security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
[those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the
righteousness or the vindication
which they obtain from me [this is that which I impart to them as their
justification], says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17 AMP).
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV).
