Heart Attitudes of Kingdom Greatness

Three Child-Like Heart Attitudes of Kingdom Greatness
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow
So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the
greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 18:4 NLT
Humility:
Humility is a disposition that says, “There is no greatness in me.” Little
children are not concerned about their status, title, or how much they know. As
kingdom people our prayer should be, “Lord, help me to be less so You can be
more.”
Dependency: Little
children are dependent upon another to provide for them, guide them, protect
them, and care for them. As kingdom people we are as dependent upon the Lord as
a branch is upon the vine.
Trust: Little
children live in simplicity. Life isn’t complicated. They don’t live under a
cloud of doubt. As kingdom people we live by faith, and our trust is fully in
the Lord.
-Marina Bromley
Lord God, when You called me Your child, You were also stating that You are my Father. Thank You. Thank You for taking me under Your wing, for teaching me Your ways, for providing for me and protecting me.
Teach me how to be Your child again—to have humility, to need to depend on You, and to trust You with every detail of my life and those lives around me. I want to have that child-like faith that is described in Matthew 18. I want to set aside my will to better live out Your will for my life. Help me Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.
