My Morning Prayer: In His Hands
-Roy Lessin and Marina Bromley, Meeting in the Meadow
In His Hands
-Roy Lessin
My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand (John 10:29 NKJV).
Into whose hands can we place our lives? Many have taken the risk of placing their lives into the hands of someone they trusted, only to have that person fail them and leave their lives broken. When someone we’ve trusted fails us, it can be hard to trust again.
It is God alone who calls you to place your life fully in His hands. He cannot fail. How awesome are God’s hands! His hands formed the heavens, touched and cured the leper, opened the eyes of the blind, blessed the children, lifted the lame, washed the disciples’ feet, broke bread, and fed a multitude.
It is in God’s hands alone that you will be kept, cared for, and
protected.
My Morning Prayer
-Marina Bromley
Lord Jesus, as I reflect back on those that have hurt me and let me down, I also look back to those that I have disappointed. Please forgive me and help me to forgive others. I want to live with forgiveness at work in my heart and life.
Only You are completely trustworthy. Only by Your power can we be healed, cared for, and protected. Help me to trust You with my life. Be at work in the lives of those I care for. I can not intervene and keep them from harm, but I believe You can use every circumstance to draw us closer to You. Bring my loved ones to full knowledge of You and Your perfect love. Amen.
