My Morning Prayer: Truth in Relationships
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow
Just as we can pray this prayer for the children in our life, we can pray it over ourselves. It is important that we remember that we are still a child of God, and can continue to grow in our relationship with Him.

Promise
My child, if sinners entice you, turn your back on them! My child, don’t go along with them! Stay far away from their paths. Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character. Proverbs 1:10,15 (NLT), 1 Corinthians 15:33 (AMP)
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the truth and light we receive from Your Word. Thank you that Your wisdom can keep us from going through heartaches and sorrows that You never intended for us to know in our experience.
I pray that my children will learn to trust in Your Word in each decision they make; that they will know beyond a doubt that Your ways are the best; that they will be assured that You will not withhold anything from them that is good; that they will have the peace and satisfaction of knowing that their obedience to You means living without regrets.
I also ask that you will bless my children in their relationships throughout their lives. May they know what it means to be a good friend and may they always be blessed with good friends—those who are growing in faith, strong in character, upright in conduct, loyal and supportive, true and trusting, helpful and kind-of-heart.
