My Morning Prayer: Meaning and Purpose
-Roy Lessin, Meeting in the Meadow
Promise
For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, and
My chosen and elect shall long make use of and enjoy the work of their hands.
They shall not labor in vain or bring forth [children] for sudden terror or
calamity; for they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord, and
their offspring with them. -Isaiah 65:22-23 AMP
Prayer
Lord, I thank You that because we belong to You, You have saved us
from emptiness—from a life of empty words, empty promises, empty desires, empty
thoughts, empty goals, empty work and empty choices. Your life has freed us, as
a family, from empty relationships with each other.
Thank You for Your grace, Your power, and Your love. Thank You for your promise that we do not face a hopeless, worthless, and meaningless future. I believe that we have not been brought into this world for destruction, but for redemption; not for panic, but for peace; not for emptiness, but completeness; not for frustration, but for the glorification of Your name.
Thank You, Father, for the blessings that You have extended to me and to my family. I know that in every circumstance of life we will never face a time when You are not working everything together for the good and to fulfill Your purposes.
