I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for He will speak peace unto His people, and to His saints. -Psalm 85:8 KJV
Some of the greatest blessings that a child receives from his father are the spoken words that assure a child of the father's personal love and care. I will always be grateful for the things my dad spoke into my life. Even though my dad is now in heaven, I still carry the words that his heart spoke to mine.
Today, God is your Father through your personal relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ. You are God's child, and as your Father, God has many things that He wants you to know, to believe, and to hold on to as treasures from Him.
Here are some of the things that His heart speaks (and doesn't speak) to your heart today.
He doesn't say: I have no interest in you. God says: "I care for you."
He doesn't say: You will have to fend for yourself. God says: "I will supply all your needs."
He doesn't say: I love you today, but I can't be sure about tomorrow. God says: "I have loved you with an everlasting love."
He doesn't say: Don't count on Me. God says: "I will never fail you."
He doesn't say: You have plenty of reasons to be fearful. God says: "Do not be afraid."
He doesn't say: There are things in your life that are too big for Me to handle. God says: "Trust Me."
He doesn't say: Your life is subject to chance and fate. God says: "Your times are in My hands."
He doesn't say: There are some things that are out of My control. God says: "I rule over all."
He doesn't say: I am your enemy. God says: "I am for you."
He doesn't say: I really don't care what happens to you. God says: "When needed, I will discipline you as your loving Father."
He doesn't say: Sorry, but I am busy right now. God says: "Call upon Me and I will answer you."
He doesn't say: I can't figure out what to do with you. God says: "I know the plans I have for you."
